February 20, 2017

In February 2017, I was interviewed by Naeeda Aurangzeb for the VPRO program ‘Bureau Buitenland‘ of NPO Radio 1. I was truly honored to receive an invitation to come to the Mediapark in Hilversum. It was great to have the opportunity to be interviewed for more than 10 minutes about the research I am currently working on. Since the interview was live on the radio, I was quite excited, but all went well. I spoke about the role of law and law enforcement in relation to the elimination of FGM in the African context. I shared some of my findings of my field study in Burkina Faso and explained what next steps need to be taken.
